CITY OF WINTER PARK: Winter Park Golf Course Parking Lot Renovation

By Press release submission | | Sep 21, 2018

City of Winter Park issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.

With the success of the renovated Winter Park

Golf Course (WPGC), and ongoing popularity of Casa Feliz Historic Home

Museum, the city has been diligently working on a plan for additional parking

opportunities. Our partnering with the Elizabeth Morse Genius Foundation and

Casa Feliz has resulted in a planned project which will begin late September and

is scheduled to be completed by late October, weather permitting.

In addition to adding 27 new parking spaces, the entire WPGC parking lot will be

converted from asphalt to brick pavers, synonymous with much of the downtown

Winter Park area. The adjacent Morse Park will receive a much-needed update

with new landscaping, a moonlight garden, fragrant plantings and beautiful

meandering walking path that will flow through the park from the course to

Casa Feliz. An archway from the original Annie Russell home may be added.

On behalf of the City of Winter Park, thank you for your patience during this

construction project which will result in additional convenient parking for our

patrons and guests.
