ALZHEIMER'S & DEMENTIA RESOURCE CENTER: Caring For A Loved One With Alzheimer’s Disease Or Other Form Of Dementia?

By Press release submission | | Jun 14, 2019

Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center recently issued the following announcement.

Are you concerned about memory loss, confusion, or unexpected behaviors that you are seeing in a family member or friend? WE CAN HELP!

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center in partnership with Family First Firm is offering a free 6-week SAVVY CAREGIVER TRAINING SERIES.

The training is intended for family members or friends involved in caring for family members and friends living with Alzheimer’s disease, or some other form of progressive dementia (Lewy Body, Frontal-Temporal, Vascual, etc.).

Caregivers will increase their confidence by learning how to develop new strategies for both caring for the person living with the disease, as well as caring for themselves. The strategies and skill building have been shown to decrease the stress of care-giving and increase well being for both the caregiver and the person who is receiving the care.
